David joined Oyster IMS in 2022. Heading up the Information Security practice, he works closely with the Heads of Data Protection and Information Governance to deliver on Oyster IMS’s unique ability to understand a client’s information across its whole lifecycle and the challenges associated with keeping it well governed, secure and in line with legislation.
With a career in IT starting in the mid-1990’s, he has experience in the Telecoms, Insurance, and Oil & Gas sectors, with senior roles both in consulting and the private sector. Alongside his security, systems and data experience, he has operated as a Data Protection Officer in the private sector for more than 10 years, working alongside legal, privacy, and technology teams to address the many challenges arising from new legislation and the continued digitisation of business.
